Coronavirus Prevention Measures at COR Healthcare
We hope that you, your family, and friends are staying safe and healthy. Our office is open in accordance with updated guidance from our Governor and public health experts.
At COR Healthcare, we remain focused on caring for our patients by providing high-quality healthcare services when you need them, even during these unprecedented times. Our providers are offering telehealth visits, depending on the type of service needed. Please call us to discuss your visit type, and if necessary, we will also contact you with changes to your upcoming appointment.
Have you had any of these symptoms? - If you have a fever, new cough (within the last two weeks), shortness of breath, or flu-like symptoms and have an appointment scheduled in our office, please call our office or send a message to your provider via the secure patient portal for guidance on your upcoming appointment.
Here is what we are doing to keep patients safe:
Mandatory Daily Screening and Temperature Checks – Every person, including employees and physicians who enter our facility goes through a daily screening and temperature check.
All staff, physicians, patients, and visitors are required to wear a mask or face covering- Please bring a mask or face covering to your appointment. If you arrive without a mask, we will provide you one and ask that you wear it.
Visitors at my appointment- During this time, we ask that you limit accompanying visitors and attend your appointment alone. The only permitted exceptions will be a single caregiver for a patient with a disability or impairment warranting assistance.
Infection Prevention Distancing – We have implemented many physical distancing measures throughout our offices. Please maintain a safe social distance of at least 6 feet.
Cleaning and Maintenance – COR Healthcare follows CDC protocols for cleaning and disinfecting all patient and treatment areas. Rooms and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between patients. Thank you for working together to ensure that everyone stays safe and healthy!
If you have traveled to/from these countries within the past 30 days, or have been in close contact with someone with COVID-19 and have a fever or respiratory illness (cough or shortness of breath), call your primary care physician or local public health department for further direction.
If you are experiencing mild symptoms (cough or fever) self-isolate at home until 24 hours after the resolution of fever and/or improvement of respiratory symptoms. If symptoms worsen, contact your primary care provider. For severe symptoms such as difficulty breathing and/or shortness of breath, it is recommended you be seen in the emergency room.
COR Healthcare strongly discourages all patients with flu-like symptoms from coming into the office. Please STAY HOME if you have any of the following: cough, fever (T>100.4), body aches or sore throat.

What are the symptoms of COVID-19?
Patients with COVID-19 experience mild to severe respiratory illness with symptoms of fever, cough and shortness of breath. At this time, there are no anti-viral medications currently available to treat COVID-19. Your primary care provider may recommend rest, fluids and over-the-counter medicines.

As the coronavirus situation evolves, the safety of our patients, staff and physicians is of the upmost importance.
How to protect yourself
You can protect yourself from COVID-19 infection the same ways you protect against the common cold or seasonal flu.
- Sanitize your hands often for at least 20 seconds each time. Alcohol gel works well in most situations (like after coughing, sneezing, or blowing your nose), but handwashing with soap and water should be performed after going to the bathroom, before eating, or when your hands are visibly soiled.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash (putting a tissue on a table contaminates the surface of the table with germs).
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
- Stay home when you are sick.
- Routinely disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces, using a cleaning spray or wipe.
- Avoid travel to high-risk countries. We are discouraging non-essential travel to or through any of the countries for which the CDC has issued a level 2 or 3 travel health notice.
- Take extra precautions to reduce the likelihood of exposure, if you are at a higher risk of serious illness from COVID-19.
