Lynda Stoodley has been an RN since 1989 and went on to earn her master’s degree as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner from California State University, Long Beach, in 2002. She went on to earn a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Arizona in 2013, and then added an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care nurse practitioner certification in 2014. She is tripled Board-Certified as an Adult, Adult-Gerontology Primary Care, and an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care nurse practitioner. She is also certified in critical care and cardiac surgery nursing. She has practiced as a Nurse Practitioner in cardiology and cardiac surgery for the past 20 years, working for COR Healthcare Medical Associates many of those years. Lynda has also held various faculty positions in acute, primary, and doctoral NP programs, currently teaching in an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care program. In her free time, she follows Trojan football, the Los Angeles Dodgers, the US women’s national soccer team, and continues to play soccer as well.
