I usually always give 5 stars. People there are always very nice.. and I always feel the “personal touch” they’re striving for.. I enjoy seeing (and talking with) Dr. Matchison twice a year and never feel rushed.. he takes the time to hear me out and he answers all my questions clearly. I was met this time with his nurse practitioner (a person I’ve never met before and has no idea of my history..). She answered all my questions with very complicated medical jargon.. and spent most of her time (what felt like) her trying to push me towards two new drugs.. (goodbye, “personal touch”). Dr. Matchison did come in later and after he left, I recalled a question that I had forgotten to ask him. The Nurse practitioner asked me what it was (as to not bother the doctor) and took charge of trying to answer it .. but she did not really answer it. I could tell she seemed bothered by the question she couldn’t answer, so I let it go. I suppose that’s my fault.. I should’ve written down my questions for Dr. Matchison. Very sorry for the 4 stars. Not my favorite visit.

Dr. Reddy listens attentively and invites questions from the patient. She phoned me after my appointment with valuable follow up. I found that a very caring gesture.

My experience was very good. Short wait, nice support staff, nice appointment with Dr. Matchison. He was friendly, patient, and answered my questions. However, I am going to take this opportunity to try to clarify a couple of things about my procedure, if the Dr. is willing. I have read on the Net that there appears to be considerable controversy about the relative benefit of nuclear stress testing (the test the Dr. chose for me) and a coronary CT angiograms (CCTA). The majority opinion on the Net seems to be that CCTAs are currently regarded as the preferred test, giving better short term and long term benefits, and that they are replacing nuclear stress testing as the first line test for most patients, especially in Europe, but also here. This seems to have started based on a study performed around 2015, but I found nothing current to overturn this. Based on most of what I read, it seems that the CCTA can give more accurate results more quickly and with less radiation risk. Regards.
