Our Cardiology Team
Howard Abrams, M.D., earned his Medical Degree at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York. Dr. Abrams completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center and earned a Cardiology Fellowship at Harbor General Hospital/UCLA Medical Center. He is Board-Certified in Cardiology and Internal Medicine.
Dr. Abrams is a licensed pilot and likes to fly his plane for relxation.
Eric Castleman, M.D., earned his Medical Degree at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York City. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at UCLA Medical Center and earned a Cardiology Fellowship from UC Irvine Medical Center. He is Board-Certified in Cardiology and Internal Medicine.
Dr. Castleman spends a lot of his free time enjoying his young children and also finds time to relax while gardening and roller-blading.
Ankush Chhabra, M.D. is COR's newest physician, joining our group in November 2006. Dr. Chhabra earned his Medical Degree at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, Nashville, TN in 1998. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Michigan in 2001. He completed fellowships in Cardiology in 2004 and Interventional Cardiology in 2005 at UCLA. In July 2006 Dr. Chhabra completed a Peripheral Vascular Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard University. He is Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Nuclear Cardiology, and Interventional Cardiology. He is fluent in Hindi.
Dr. Chhabra enjoys playing tennis, traveling, and reading presidential history.
James French, M.D., earned his Medical Degree at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Santa Barbara’s Cottage and General Hospitals and earned a Fellowship in Cardiology at UC Irvine Medical Center. Post Fellowship, Dr. French received additional training in Pacing and Electrophysiology at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. He is Board-Certified in Cardiology and Internal Medicine. Dr. French's interests include sailing on his boat, spending time with his children and their sports activities and tinkering with his collection of classic cars.
Bruce Jackson, M.D., earned his Medical Degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Medicine. After completing his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of California, San Diego, Dr. Jackson completed a Cardiology Fellowship at UCLA/ Harbor General Hospital. He is Board-Certified in Cardiology and Internal Medicine and is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Jackson’s primary method of relaxation is spending time with his wife, Susan, and their nine grandchildren. He also enjoys jogging.
Gene Kim, M.D., joined COR in 2005. Dr. Kim earned his Medical Degree at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at LA County/USC Medical Center. He then completed fellowships in Cardiology at LA County/Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, and in Cardiac Electrophysiology at Good Samaritan Hospital and LA County/Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Kim is Board-Certified in Cardiology and Electrophysiology. He is fluent in Korean. Dr. Kim and his wife enjoy spending time with their two young sons participating in all types of sports.
Gary Kissel, M.D., earned his Medical Degree at the University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the Mayo Clinic and earned a Cardiology Fellowship at Los Angeles County Harbor/UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Kissel is Board-Certified in Cardiology and Internal Medicine and is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Kissel played college football at the University of Washington and was a member of two Rose Bowl teams. He was recently inducted to the University of Washington Athletic Hall of Fame.
Thomas Lawrence, M.D., received his Medical Degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He completed both his internal Medicine Residency and Cardiology Fellowship at the Hospital of the Good Samaritan/University of Southern California in Los Angeles. He is Board-Certified in Cardiology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Lawrence’s passion comes with an exotic flavor: He travels to lands in the far East, where he spends most of his vacations.
Ram Reddy, M.D., earned his Medical Degree in India, after which he completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Wayne State University in Detroit and Fellowships in Cardiology and Nuclear Cardiology at the Medical College of Virginia, Richmond. He is Board-Certified in Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Reddy enjoys spending time with his family. His interests include tennis, art, gardening and gourmet cooking.
Roopa Reddy, M.D., is a Board-Certified Internal Medicine specialist. Dr. Reddy received her Medical Degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Reddy’s personal interests are tennis, skiing and music.
John R. Sabatini, M.D., M.D., joined COR July 1, 2000. Dr. Sabatini earned his Medical Degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and subsequently completed his Internal Medicine internship and Residence at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York. Dr. Sabatini is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Electrophysiology.
Dr. Sabatini is an avid scuba diver and downhill skier (and occasionally takes time from his busy practice to enjoy.)
R. Michael Wyman, M.D., earned his Medical Degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore. After completing his Internal Medicine Residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Dr. Wyman completed dual Fellowship programs at Boston’s Beth Israel Hospital (Cardiology) and Harvard Medical School (Medicine). He is Board-Certified in Cardiology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Wyman’s primary outside interests are spending time with his wife and four children, triathlon training, and gourmet cooking.
Ted Yang, M.D., joined COR in 2004. He earned his Medical Degree at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at LA County/Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, then proceeded to LA County/USC Medical Center where he completed fellowships in Cardiovascular Medicine and Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Yang is Board-Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, Interventional Cardiology and Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Yang is fluent in Mandarin, Taiwanese, and medical Spanish. Dr. Yang and his wife, Dr. Lisa Chang (Infectious Disease Specialist at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center) enjoy spending their (limited) free time skiing, golfing, playing basketball and enjoying local theater performances.
